... oh bother. Yes, most of it we are morally opposed to. But a lot of it has good messages! You know, steal from the rich, give to the poor. Uhh... trust your heart. And, ummm, learn to defend yourself! Yeah!
I'm not sure if there is a direct symbolism that I can explain. You know how cloth is always moving and you never can seem to flatten it smooth? I thought it would be a good background to use to hint at the uneveness of the ocean (Calypso) as well as love. It turns out that in this picture, you can also see the fabric woven together nicely. I think it adds to the theme of love (two people intertwined, that sort of thing) even though it wasn't the main reason I chose to use the cloth.
I am glad that you like it As ~Zal-The-Story-Teller commented, I did get it from Claire's. I was very exited to see it as I walked past. I typically head for the video game stores or bookstores when I'm in the mall, but my eyes must be programmed to see pirates stuff 'cause I stopped in midstride and had to keep my jaw from dropping. I love that whole scene between Davy Jones and Calypso and the discussion about their past.
